Patient Specific Implants

We are excited to have so much interest in our 1 on 1 "Patient Specific Implant" mentorship.

Day 1 involves a 4 hour lecture, followed by 2 hours of hands on practicing on anatomical skulls.
Day 2 involves you actually performing the entire surgery which is usually a Maxilla or Mandible depending on your preference. We will also teach you to perform intraoral scanning and photogrammetry after the surgery. We will then print a temporary 3-D hybrid, stain and glaze it in the office prior to delivery. Most doctors bring their lab tech or dental assistant with them and you can also bring an observing referral with you at no additional cost. Bringing more than three staff members would necessitate an extra charge of $2500. Please note that we only have a maximum of 4 spots available for this course to ensure that Dr. Broumand and a fellow mentor are present at all times, there are no set dates, you can schedule at your convenience and will receive 24 CE CREDITS .

The course tuition for the Patient Specific Implant Surgery is $28,500 per doctor for you to place Maxillary or Mandibular Patient Specific Implants on an actual  patient. This pays for the patient's entire surgery as we cannot charge the patients for the surgery with your volunteer license. I will be your surgical assistant navigating you through the surgery.

If you are electing to have more surgical experience we are offering a third day to perform the same exact surgery on a second patient at a discounted rate so you pay an additional $22,500 for the second surgery, if you decide to have the bonus patient the total tuition would be $51,000. You will need to be here Monday through Wednesday in that case.

Some doctors elect to bring their own patients instead of using our patients, in that case the fee would be $32,500 per patient which would include the anesthesia and the temporary digitally printed teeth but not the actual Patient Specific Implant (The cost will vary). You can charge your patient for the entire treatment in your office, yet we cannot collect from them, for this reason some doctors prefer to bring their own patients. If you'd like us to furnish the Zirconia finals with a Titanium substructure, then the total fee including the finals would be $38500. If your patient needs an opposing conventional arch done as well, the additional surgical and restorative fees are $10,000 excluding finals.

The Patient Specific Implant live surgery course and  workshop has two goals.
The first goal is to train clinicians on how to treat severe maxillary or mandibular atrophy using Patient Specific Implants.  The second goal is to train clinicians on how to restore all-on x restorations using a completely digital process even without a dedicated lab technician.

Everything is completely hands-on. You and your staff will be using photogrammetry, intraoral scanner, and staining and glazing 3D printed hybrids on live patients.  Our hope is that by the end of the course you are no longer using traditional conversion methods and have the confidence to treat patients with patient specific implants for severe atrophy of the maxilla or mandible.

Please complete this form ASAP unless you hold an Arizona dental license.

Your notarized completed form can be emailed to: jill.barenbaum@dentalboard.az.gov
Also, please CC myself at vbomfs@gmail.com once done.

The volunteer application can take 2 weeks to 2 months depending on the state that you are in. So please fill out the attached form ASAP and email to Jill at the AZ state Dental Board with appropriate supporting documents and norarizations.
You will need to ask your state dental board to send an "OFFICIAL" verification of your license directly to Jill in addition to filling out this application. Verification is not required for a training license you may have had in a residency.

We hope to make a positive impact on your career and on these volunteer patients that have been so kind as to allow us to work on them. If you have a friend or colleague that also wants to perform an entire surgical approach to the maxilla and mandible then we would change the duration of the mentorship to three days and each of you will be exposed to two surgeries instead of one which is an added benefit.
